Description For Software Engineer IV, Kubernetes

Zivaro, a leading IT solutions provider, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer specialized in Kubernetes to support the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). This role is crucial for deploying, configuring, and maintaining secure and resilient Kubernetes environments.

The position demands expertise in DevSecOps practices, containerization, and cloud architecture, with a focus on transforming legacy systems into modern cloud-based solutions. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies including OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, and various DevSecOps tools while ensuring compliance with DoD security standards.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating processes, and ensuring the stability and security of our Kubernetes clusters. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capability to work both independently and as part of an agile team.

  • Installation, Configuration, testing, and sustainment of DevSecOps tools
  • Integration and automation of the DevSecOps tools to enable CI/CD
  • Implementing automation in cluster and tool creation
  • Implementing process and procedures for utilizing the DevSecOps Pipeline
  • Maintenance of the DevSecOps pipeline
  • Rapid resolution of DevSecOps pipeline issues
  • Providing recommendations for DevSecOps environment in RedHat Linux environment
  • Develop code in accordance with coding and security standards
  • Working within agile processes for short cycle, fast-paced delivery

  • Active Secret Security clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • IAT Level II certification required
