Description For Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Zscaler, a leading enterprise security company, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join their IT Cloud Engineering team. Reporting to the Director of Integration and Automation, you'll play a crucial role in developing products for Federal customers, understanding FedRAMP needs, and working with cross-functional teams to create secure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to obtain requirements and create product roadmaps
  • Deliver scalable, highly available, and performant products in AWS or similar cloud environments
  • Design and develop full-stack applications/services using AWS technologies
  • Implement DevOps concepts and build CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitor, triage, and troubleshoot provisioning and production issues
  • Handle platform engineering work for on-premises application stacks

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with government accreditations for Cloud (FedRAMP, Impact Level)
  • 8+ years of overall experience and programming skills in Python, Java, Spring, C/C++, MongoDB, NodeJS, Angular, Express, ReactJS
  • 3+ years in design and development of RESTful APIs and full-stack components in AWS
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS stacks (EKS, Load Balancers, Queues, Kafka, Databases, Docker)
  • 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering (Tosca, UIPath, Workato, Apache, Nginx, WebLogic, Tomcat, RDBMS)
  • BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • U.S. citizenship (required due to the nature of assigned customers)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience handling SDLC for Federal customers
  • Experience working with remote teams and managing multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to guide junior engineers
