How to maintain energy after working in office?

I dont know if its just me but whenever I work in person 3x a week, I'm so exhausted after work I cant get anything done that needs mental concentration.

I feel so sleepy and tired I cant focus on anything. Has anyone else felt this way? How do you resolve it?

My possible guesses:

  1. I probably sleep 60 mins less because I wake up earlier
  2. Just a guess but i get no natural sunlight all day in my office because of my desk location
  3. Maybe the office is just more exhausting to be in
  4. Maybe im not eating right things

More generally, how to naturally maintain higher energy levels through the day?

Have you tried taking any supplements? green supplements? minerals?

    A few thoughts:

    • Do you need to be productive after work on those days? Working IRL (when you're actually working and not distracted every 20 min..) is indeed mentally exhausting, so maybe you create space/time on the other 4 days of the week.
    • Can you change your environment (either physical space or people) for whatever you're doing after work?
    • During the work day in the office, go on walks, go outside, grab a snack. Dried mangos were my go-to :)

I've not tried taking any supplements, though I'm interested! Mental biohacks ftw ๐Ÿ˜…

Diet will definitely affect your energy levels throughout the day.

    • Keeping yourself hydrated will keep you alert, your body does bad things when dehydrated

    • If you're just feeling a bit drowsy, natural forms of sugar like dried mangos help. Or if your company is boujie, Harmless Harvest ๐Ÿ˜†

Working in office can be exhausting, but don't feel like you have to be dialed in the full 8 hours on pure coding work. The whole purpose of going to the office is to have faster/richer communication with coworkers.

I've tried supplements but some are just snake oil, ie nootropics. Although I've been drinking carrot juice lately and it's helped a ton with eye soreness in the mornings after long nights coding.
