Software Engineer Interview Experience - Netherlands

Process

Besides not confirming applications normally, the Japanese office avoids direct communications. Nobody mentions a bug in the applications system, which may be exploited to force candidates to re-apply. Otherwise, ghosting starts, just like other reviewers say here.

This isn't a "pro" unattended case, which companies may practice during the selection process. So:

  • Apply remotely for jobs in Japan only if you're ready to invest days into your application.
  • If you're an experienced candidate, be especially cautious, as there's no guarantee of being interviewed even after the second application.

Not sharing profile information with non-HR staff (until positive feedback is received from HRs) may also help to overcome the pressure.
