Pros

Accenture is a good company to have on your resume. There are a lot of training and job opportunities here, and the work-from-home aspect that exists in a lot of positions is spectacular.

Cons

In 2015, Accenture hired a lot of new employees for future demand. The result? Over 100 consultants in North America were all sitting on 'the bench,' desperately trying to get on a project. Those who could not secure one were let go.

In addition, dozens of senior managers who had been with the company for 20-30+ years were also let go to cut costs.

Personally, I was thrown into an alignment I was not familiar with and never received proper training for it. The salary is below the industry standard, and recently Accenture changed their review process to once a year, meaning fewer opportunities for a raise.

It is easy to get hired here, but after orientation, you are completely on your own. You are expected to figure out everything by yourself, and the pressure to always apply for projects to obtain work is unnecessary.

Advice to Management

Stop firing your best people and hiring an excess of new joiners unless you can provide work for them. Your employees should be more important than constant cost-cutting.

Some of your employees work tirelessly while there is a plethora of them that don't have any work to do and sit around for months trying to find something to do.
