Depending on the project you get, your experience might be good or bad.
To be able to get a promotion, they ask for many things, apart from the activities of your project (the process is very bureaucratic). The promotion depends on whether the current project can pay the new salary; if not, there is no way to achieve it.
Having a people lead doesn't help with professional development. If everyone could express their achievements and try to "sell" them (no one cares more about personal growth than oneself), there would be more development.
