Pros

A great place to learn the basics, roll up your sleeves, and learn the core concepts of what it means to be a good and effective architecture practitioner.

Most MD and Senior Level employees are very approachable and happy to help with formal or informal career guidance.

Exposure to latest technology trends and large-scale clients and programmes.

Cons

Small Cog, Big Machine, and trust me, you feel like it too.

Poor promotion outcomes for several years, even for top performers, appalling salary appraisals and bonuses.

Most MDs give a very laissez-faire attitude to the impact of poor performance cycles, citing that it's just a 'blip' even though this has seemed to last for 3 years. Meanwhile, they are making great returns on their share portfolio.

Lots of people are fantastic at talking about doing things; very few are actual doers.
