Average work and personal life balance, decent.
Politics reigns supreme. You have to be a bootlicker to progress in the organization. Impossible to grow or get into a good project without a godfather. Loads of linguistic and regional bias.
Pathetic Work Culture. Too many false promises made to employees. Everybody in a project would be assured of onsite opportunities just to ensure people won't quit, but eventually, only people closer to managers get the chance to travel. Cheap tactics to hold on to people. Good hikes, on-sites, and good projects are promised during appraisal times only to be ditched later. Useless processes and tools internally. Arrogant and rude HR.
Employee referral scheme never works. HR and external recruitment agencies are hand in glove, and hardly any of the employee referrals are selected.
Worst place to join and work if you are a talented and honest resource. Appraisals and promotions are only given to people who are close to managers. Never expect more than a 2-3% hike and no promotions for a minimum of 5 years if you are not in the good books of managers. Archaic maintenance projects. No cutting-edge work.
It is of no use to write any piece of advice to them, since the advice would be in dustbins, and the senior management does not care about the resources. Talking to subordinates is a waste of time for them, as they consider people at lower levels as slaves.
Applied via website, got the email and the interview was scheduled. It was good. Basics and some deployment, Docker, Kubernetes related questions, like how to setup PV and PVC, port forwarding within the host machine and server. Concept of dev, prod
It was a good interview that I had attended. The questions asked during the technical and HR rounds were a deep dive into the experience I have in the IT industry.
It was quick and clear. The decisions were made quickly. The HR was kind. The project was assigned quickly. There were a total of 3 rounds: initially with the manager, then with the Technical Team, and finally with HR.
