If you get mapped to a project willing to use trending technologies, then you will get a great opportunity to keep upskilling.
Teams in well-organized projects are proper Agile, giving even the developers a fair opportunity to have exposure and conversations directly with the client.
There are projects using older technologies and following the waterfall model. The growth may not be great in such cases.
If you join as a fresher and continue to serve in a higher position, your salary for that position will be 30% less than someone who came to the same position laterally. But IT everywhere works like that now, I guess.
