Cons

The moderation or rating process is not understandable. At the end of the day, you might not get what you deserve, and the person who does not deserve might get a lot more.

Certain processes are not transparent.

If the manager likes to promote you, then you can get promoted easily without any effort. Otherwise, you need to struggle a lot to convince them to get what you deserve.

Advice to Management

It is high time that the company start taking actions against its managers and those above them to make them understand how people below suffer badly for hikes, ratings, and promotions.

They should coach their managerial resources and above to perform their managerial duties, which might reduce the burden for resources reporting to those managers.
