Pros

A chance to change specialties to learn and grow with different technology stacks. The talent management team supports and helps the developers.

Cons

Wrong resource management. No proper technical standards and flows. No transparency between technical management and developers. Lack of planning, resource planning, or project planning. Project managers want to build their own teams with members they prefer. This results in a miss in team and technical quality. Instead of a merit system, a loyalty and friendship system is in place.

Advice to Management

The HR/Talent management team needs to query the reason for rolled-off developers.

All roll-off and roll-on processes should be on mail/paper, with a person from talent management to track actions/reasons.
