There is usually good camaraderie on all projects. If you get assigned to a project with current technologies, you can learn and grow. If you get assigned to an older project, you can request a transfer to another project, although it's not always successful. Lately, they are more often approving these requests. Job stability is a plus. If a project leaves the company, relocation to another project is the priority.
Thriving economically is slow, and advancing from the role of analyst is very complicated. They cannot or do not want to compete with the salary range in the market.
