Name brand and if you fit in, then you will probably go higher.
There are two sections: ATS and Consulting.
Senior management is always from Consulting.
Work-life balance is only on projects that have an agreement with the client of paying by the day, not by the hour. In that case, what happens is that managers push for "work-life balance," which means you go home at the normal time, and then work will have to be done in more days. Other projects are standard consulting/IBanking long hours.
In addition, when you are trying to find a project, you are looking for a job again. You have to send people resumes. Managers won't call you back unless there is something in it for them. The scheduling team has no clue what's going on.
You get given projects which you have to take on as a graduate software engineer. Then, if you have done testing, you get typecast in testing. Then, if you go for a development role, the managers or TL from Accenture will say you don't have development experience, after a year!
A friend of mine who had done a Master's in Electronics worked for months as an admin on a project for senior managers. He was hired as a Software Engineer. He used to get laptops and security badges for them! He was given bad reviews that he doesn't take initiative (maybe didn't get a security card fast enough) and eventually made to leave within the year.
Accenture hires a lot of graduates but fires a lot too.
Bad culture of 'get with it or get going.' No sense of training for project coordination. I have been trained with technologies, but I've got no projects. Thankfully, I got a job with a prestigious investment bank. Cherry on top was that I had an offer and then was also made redundant. WOW, thanks. I wouldn't recommend or want to work for Accenture, but thanks for giving me your brand name. Well, not your brand, but the clients that helped me with my career.
The interview process was very professional. It started off with a test, then an interview, then an assessment center, then a technical interview. The assessment center took about 4 hours with a number of tests and interviews.
My Accenture interview was smooth and structured. The panel focused on problem-solving, project experience, communication skills, and basic technical concepts. The process felt supportive, professional, and clearly aligned to real-world client work
In-person interview. Questions mainly asked about background and education. They also asked about hobbies. My friend said they watch series. They asked which series, and I replied Game of Thrones. They then asked about the director.
