Pros

I don't think anyone could argue that Accenture is not a great place to start a career. People fresh out of college are given a great deal of responsibility and challenged to bring out their true potential, but competition is fierce.

Cons

While you may be doing your job very well, you still have the possibility of not getting promoted because there is always someone else on your project who is more in the scope of senior leaders and is sometimes set up with more responsibilities.

This is unfortunate for the real hard-workers that are less about the talk and more about the walk.

From experience, promotions for a lot of people seem few and unlikely.

Advice to Management

The laddering/promotion system needs to be restructured. Accenture loses a lot of strong minds and able people because they are unhappy with their promotion opportunities.
