Learnings:
They generally have very structured work environments, with defined processes and procedures.
Salary was too low compared to newbies who had lesser work. No work-life balance. Overworked employees with low pay. Weekend work during month-end, and long hours waiting even if I was supposed to clock out at 5pm just to accommodate clients in different time zones, sometimes reaching 2am. You'd feel ashamed to claim overtime since the higher-ups would make passive-aggressive remarks every time they saw many people working overtime. Burnout. This was only for the project I was assigned to.
Great experience. They just ask some basic accounting knowledge questions and you have to write one online exam. If you are selected in both, you will be interviewed face-to-face with HR in the final round.
This was way back in 2019, and it was a one-day hiring process. Skills assessment came first, like grammar and mathematics. Then, I got a call for a phone interview. Ultimately, a job offer.
The interview process was pretty easy, but the entire hiring process took a long time. It was a long waiting process; it took me two months to wait. But overall, the interview was pretty easy. The waiting process was worth it.
