Process

There are 4 rounds of interviews. Based on the first 2 rounds, they will conduct the next 2 rounds.

The first 2 rounds are technical, and they will ask some puzzles along with some Java coding questions.

It was surprising that after answering all the questions, I was rejected after 2 rounds were completed.

In the first round, the interviewer asked some logical coding questions, 2 puzzles, and some Selenium-related questions, as well as basic questions like what is 3-tier, what is 1-tier, and what is RDBMS.

In the 2nd round, the interviewer did not have knowledge of the Cucumber framework, and whatever he asked was related to TestNG.

It's a complete waste of time if they don't want to hire. Why do companies play with candidates in the name of an interview?

Before attending, I had a good opinion of this company, but after attending the interview, it was a complete waste of time. Their standard interview process was below that of a startup company.

Questions

You are given a box of matches and a piece of rope. For example, if you light the rope at one end, it will take exactly 60 minutes for the entire rope to burn up.

How can you measure a period of exactly 30 minutes? You can choose the starting time. More precisely, given the matches and the rope, you are to say the words “start” and “done” exactly 30 minutes apart.

There are three boxes: one contains only apples, one contains only oranges, and one contains both apples and oranges. The boxes have been incorrectly labeled such that no label identifies the actual contents of the box it labels.

Opening just one box, and without looking inside, you take out one piece of fruit. By looking at the fruit, how can you immediately label all of the boxes correctly?

Count of duplicate characters. Determine if a number is even or odd without using the division symbol.
