Pros

Good environment to work in. Lots of smart, pleasant people. The company has huge resources to throw at a problem when it's organised to do so. It can be an incredibly exciting, challenging, and cutting-edge place to be.

Cons

In the consultancy arm, there was no longer a solid methodology for completing projects. It was all about pushing license sales rather than helping customers. This short-term view was damaging the perception of the company across numerous clients.

Advice to Management

As far as consultancy is concerned, return to the previous focus of making customers successful with the products, rather than tacking development sales onto product sales. Make the use of resources by customers and consultants, such as managed services, far more agile and flexible.
