Pros

Adyen allowance and free lunch during noon.

Cons

No leaders. At a whole company’s and a full team’s level, Adyen is just a heap of loose sand, even though at an individual level, every member is “smart”. Team leads are just wrong people promoted to the wrong place; otherwise, they have nowhere to go after several years of working at Adyen. My manager is a habitual liar with very limited understanding/embracing of different people and discriminated against women. He used a formula to justify himself being hostile to capable women in technical roles. Very old and hard-to-maintain tech stack. It is not a fintech company as it may seem; it is a fake. International colleagues are a truly nice thing, but cultural barriers exist and need to be taken into account to collaborate with each other instead of being ignored. I’ve worked with team members too competitive who just wanted to prove they are the best instead of sharing and learning from mutual differences.

Advice to Management

Having the right people in lead roles, things will change.
