Process

I applied for a job based in Bangkok, and I am from a neighboring country.

Initially, after applying through the company's website, two back-to-back interview rounds were scheduled a week later.

In the first round, the interviewer asked me to code for some problems. The first was to find the count of the first non-repeating character, and the second was to find a subarray with a given sum. I coded solutions for both instantly, and then he told me I was selected for a further session. This session lasted for 50 minutes.

After a 5-minute break, in the second session, the interviewer asked me about data structures. Then, he asked me to implement the merge sort algorithm, and after that, he asked me to write an implementation for a HashMap.

Since I know how to solve all these, I solved them with a clear explanation of the code, too.

Five days later, I received an email today stating that I have not been selected, with no proper feedback from the team. I am almost certain it might not be because I failed to meet the technical specifications, but could be due to any other reason.

Anyway, I had to take a day's leave to prepare for their back-to-back interviews. It would have been great if HR had provided feedback at least.

Questions
