Pros: Good business. Beautiful office. Good work-life balance. Competitive compensation. Some 401k match. Overall, nice people.

Cons: The environment is rather political. It seems to me that making "friends" and pleasing your manager is more important than doing solid work. It's fake and hypocritical. I feel they don't practice what they preach. Another complaint I have is on the engineering side. There are many talented engineers hired from top schools and FB/GOOG/AMZN/LNKD/MSFT, but miraculously, the quality of Airbnb's engineering is not that good. You can tell from how slow the website and the app are, even today. Again, this probably relates to the company's culture.

Pros: Great atmosphere, lots of opportunity, still a small company. It's great being a part of such an exciting company. Every day is an adventure, and it's like nothing I've ever experienced.

Cons: The food is not very good. It's usually cold, and the vegetarian options aren't great. The food is better than Google, but not as good as Twitter. Being at such a young, immature company means the benefits are young and immature. The salary is okay, but I still took a 40% pay cut to join this company. Hopefully, the stock options will be worth something someday.

Pros: Culture is great; pay is generous.

Cons: Work-life balance can be tough for some teams.
