Process

The interview process I had at Airbnb was long but fun. Airbnb believes in Core Values, which is shown during the interview process.

The first part is a recruiter chat, then it moves to a phone screening with an engineer. I had to code over a live text editor while on the phone with the engineer.

The interview lasts around 6 hours and includes a lunch in the middle. I started the day with a tour of the office and a chat with the recruiter. There are a mix of coding and non-coding interviews, some technical and some non-technical.

Non-technical interviews go over your passion and background, while technical interviews focus on solving problems. The questions were tough and mostly related to algorithm-type problems.

After the interview, Airbnb moves very fast. I found out the next day from the recruiter that I got the job and accepted it the following day!
