Great company overall, but slow to uplevel and lots of top-down decision making
Great culture, everyone is genuinely very nice.
Engineering quality is generally very good (Mobile). I saw it decline some as I was there.
Lots of middle management, which led to a lack of progress.
- Slow to uplevel, with very rigid timelines. This was the reason I left.
- Very top-down, with lots of "Brian asks" that took precedence over everything else.
- Tech quality declining.
Uplevel your high performers faster. Don't stick to strict, rigid performance review cycles. I saw multiple high achievers leave due to lack of upward movement, despite very strong performance reviews.
