Process

I applied through another source. The process took 3 weeks.

  • Step 1: Coding Challenge - Kotlin or Java (you choose). The challenge is well designed and fun. To complete it properly with clean code and a performant solution it takes a significant amount of time. Someone wrote on Glassdoor that it took them four hours, it took me closer to four days.
  • Step 2: Pair interview which consists of completing a PR of your code and a separate system architecture question.
  • Step 3: Cultural interview.

Some seriously smart and talented people at Airwallex. I was impressed at every stage. If you're not cut out for start-up life, I don't think this company is for you. You should be someone who enjoys solving hard problems and is happy to go the extra mile to get the job done. You'll be rewarded financially if Airwallex succeeds via share options.

Questions

Don't think saying the questions is fair, but if you've prepared for a traditional tech interview, you will be okay.
