QA Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Applied online and got the email for the phone screening from the recruiter. Did the screening with the recruiter, which included basic networking and Linux questions.

Got to the second round of phone interview and it was a shock. I applied for an SDET position and interviewed with the recruiter for that position, expecting C/C++ questions. However, I got an email for the second interview for a QA Test Engineer role, which involved Perl scripting.

During the interview, the interviewer spoke in a very low pitch, making it difficult to understand his questions the first time. They asked basic networking questions and two analytical thinking questions, neither of which was relevant to what the company does. I wondered why they would ask such unusual questions if the role was purely technical. I got one analytical question right and one wrong.

I wouldn't suggest this company to a friend.
