Akamai as a company is really good. Nice employee benefits, good culture, lots of activities to relax and de-stress.
The Enterprise Org lacks the zeal to motivate people; it's just donkey work. Managers are managers not because they are capable, but due to the number of years of experience they have, which is quite disturbing. A production issue is discussed publicly, but a spot award is given in private. (The "Appreciate in public, Admonish in private" rule is completely lost here).
There is a lot of micromanagement. A manager bothers about what an employee (not from his team) does in his free time, never diving deep into the deliverables which the employee completed when he/she had to.
Please outsource the enterprise org to save the company's standards and culture.
