Smart, creative environment with a heavy academic influence. It's a great place to be an engineer.
The open vacation policy sounds great but is rarely practiced by employees, many of whom seem overworked. It's up to the individual to take advantage of vacations.
Good to Great is not a useful book. At the time, they were providing copies to every employee. I'm not sure this was helpful, and their lagging stock price and lack of "great" growth showed that this was not the best approach.
