Process

I sent in my resume and received a response for a HackerRank assessment. Honestly, what a garbage of a company.

The HackerRank assessment was two hours long and contained only one problem. The problem's description was literally the length of a college student's dissertation. Because there were so many fine print details in the description, I found myself constantly changing my solution after each read.

What's even more garbage is the lack of human contact. I assume I'm going to be getting a standard rejection email.

Honestly, there goes two hours of my life reading Akuna Capital's dissertation HackerRank problem multiple times.

My advice: Please, please keep a much more concise description. It's bullcrap that I spent two hours mainly rereading the problem description multiple times because you kept it so long, and that I'm going to be getting a standard rejection email and no human contact from you whatsoever after the 2 hours I spent rereading your dissertation.

This is definitely a flaw on your end because of all the fine print I kept noticing and how I kept adjusting my code for each read that I did.

The test I received for the Python Junior Developer role might be suited for someone with a background in the stock market already, but for everyone else who isn't, good luck if you get this test.

Again, it's such bullcrap that you made the problem description so long, definitely not mine, and that I'll be getting an automated rejection email. Please do not give this test to anybody else.

Questions

An insanely long problem with a billion little rules inside the description. I spent the majority of my time reading the description since it was so long and there were so many little sentences you might not notice initially, which you realize later become crucial to the problem. This was a waste of my time and effort reading that description so many times. Please do better next time, Akuna... seriously.
