I spent the entire weekend solving the problem and submitted the solution through HackerRank. When I inquired a few days later, they responded saying they didn't receive the code and I had to send it again through the portal. After I asked again a few days later, I received a reply within a few hours stating the code didn't meet the requirements. You should have a defined requirement set in the question to begin with. Overall, it was a very bad experience. These companies ask for good communication from potential employees, but they themselves do not practice it.
