They sent a 72-hour coding challenge without any communication or phone screening. The problem was easy, but very poorly defined: read a binary file containing a set of trade orders, process them, and output order statistics. Multiple requests for comment were never answered. They sent the question through HackerRank but expected the solution to be submitted through a custom portal. I spent the entire weekend solving the problem and submitted the solution through HackerRank. When I inquired a few days later, they responded saying they didn't receive the code and I had to send it again through the portal. After I asked again a few days later, I received a reply within a few hours stating the code didn't meet the requirements. You should have a defined requirement set in the question to begin with. Overall, it was a very bad experience. These companies ask for good communication from potential employees, but they themselves do not practice it.
