Pros: Opportunity to work on the production system as an intern good mentoring by Senior Developers relaxed working environment offers a good work-life balance

Cons: Long onboarding phase due to in-house developed tools that are not industry standard.

Pros: Ever since I moved to Amazon, I've loved it, hated it, been thrilled by it, and constantly challenged. It's exciting and dynamic as a company and never stands still. The variety of projects is wonderful, and many have huge scope and the potential to influence and benefit people worldwide. It's great to work with such clever, talented people, and the company ethos is really positive about developing employees by training and extending them. I love that I work with lots of women here (not like other engineering companies I worked at before) and that people of all kinds are welcome.

Cons: Well, it sure is hectic! I work really hard and long hours. I have had to get used to constant change and people asking for things that sometimes feel unreasonable. I can push back, usually, but you have to learn to do that, and it is difficult. It's a very complicated work environment, and I often don't really know what my job is, which can be stressful.

Pros: Move fast. The work can be fun. Colleagues are very smart.

Cons: LPs are used as political tooling.
