Cons: Amazon declared RTO for 3 days a week. No longer allows WFH. This is a major downside. I'll spend at least 4.5 hours a week on commute, almost a full working day lost in a week. I'm also less productive in the office. It's harder to communicate in the office, not easier. Remotely, while on a call, everyone has a comfortable setup and ability to share screens. In the office, you're either forced to talk around people or need to run into a meeting room with a small laptop while asking someone else to join – awful. Amazon made my life worse in order for me to be less productive and less willing to overwork myself. Both me and Amazon will lose from this decision. * Work-life balance is sometimes lacking; it depends on the team. * Pay could be better, taking into account taxes: around 35% for salary, 52% for RSUs.
