The first round was a phone screening. It included questions on leadership principles related to past experience and BGP traffic engineering.
The next round was the loop round. Some questions were about the platform side, such as the components of a switch and memory (I'm not sure why they asked for specifications; that information is readily available online). I couldn't answer these questions well, as I had worked on such hardware a long time ago.
I was super confident about the interview because I answered all the networking questions very well.
Finally, I received a rejection phone call after five days. The reason given was not being technically strong enough. I would have been happy if they had rejected me for compensation or visa reasons, but this rejection is hard to accept.
What a waste of time and effort. One thing I learned is that NDE engineers at Amazon are not as great as we might think, and they don't always follow their own Leadership Principle: Hire and Develop the Best.
