Sde Interview Experience - Toronto, Canada

Process

I applied through LinkedIn and received a prompt reply from HR. The HR representative was new to their role at Amazon, based on their LinkedIn experience.

The entire process took almost a month, from the initial call to the four panel interviews.

  • The first panel asked about tangent lines.
  • The second panel presented a logic problem to render data on a table using pure JavaScript.
  • The third panel focused on sequential requests.
  • The fourth panel involved search page design.

I believed I performed well in three out of the four panels. However, I later received a rejection letter without any specific details, as the company policy prohibits sharing such information. If I had known the outcome would be negative, I would not have sacrificed some events to attend these interviews.

To this day, I am still uncertain if they were genuinely seeking to fill the position. It feels like they might have been interested in gathering information from candidates without intending to hire anyone.
