Process

The first two rounds were screening rounds.

  1. I didn't remember the first round.
  2. They asked me management questions for half an hour. The remaining half hour they expected me to solve one easy/medium question. The question was regarding a simple binary search problem to find the peak element.

After clearing the first two rounds, they said I had reached the final stage of the interview. This again consisted of four interviews.

All the next four interviews followed the same pattern: First half: managerial questions. Second half: technical questions. I will not be detailing the managerial questions. I will only write about the main interview questions.

  1. First interview: They asked me to design a post office or delivery system for Amazon. This was a high-level design question.
  2. Second interview: They asked me to design a system to open a file given a directory, where there could be multiple directories within directories. This was LLD (Low-Level Design) focused.
  3. Third interview: This was more about algorithm-based questions, specifically to find the closest movie from a given release date.
  4. Game: A game was given, and I had to determine whether it was winnable. The game was similar to a frog jump. The jump limit was determined by a dice roll and the number written on an array. This was algorithm-focused.
