Process

A round of 5 interviews.

The whole process was very messy and unorganized. There were long emails with messy content and irrelevant prep information, copy-pasted with different fonts and sizes. The recruiter was unresponsive and unhelpful.

The hiring process felt very unprofessional and impersonal. I was surprised to encounter that at Amazon.

For example, there was a virtual preparation meeting for which they provided a link, but then no one joined the meeting for 20 minutes. After that, someone let all 50 participants know that they gave us the wrong link and we needed to connect to a different link. So we missed the first 20 minutes, and no one apologized or made an effort to let us know what we missed. The person giving the prep talk had a heavy accent and was difficult to understand, and there was hardly any time for Q&A.

Questions

Behavioral questions constituted a huge portion relative to other companies.

In one interview, I was asked a medium-level LeetCode question that I solved easily.

The final interview included a system design question that appears in interview preparation books.
