Process
The interview consisted of three rounds:
- The first round was a HackerRank Online Assessment.
- The second was a phone screen.
- The final round was onsite with four different engineers.
The interview timeline was fairly quick, completing within about two weeks.
Questions
Behavioral Questions: Heavily based on Amazon principles. Fairly straightforward.
Technical Questions:
- One system design
- Two LeetCode mediums (graphs and recursion)
- An open-ended API design

2. Many good projects and SDLC practices to learn. Amazing peers
3. Flexible working hours
Cons: 1. Your work-life balance will take a hit.
2. Be wary of managers. One bad manager can make your career go downhill. They can put you in a dev plan for any reason, and you will be forced to either leave or struggle and prove yourself.
3. HR is just for namesake. No support at all.
4. Employees are treated as slaves. Management does not care whether you leave or stay.

Pros: Team: Prime Video
Comparison: I worked in consultancies in London prior.
- Great total compensation package.
- Teams have a lot of freedom to self-organize and choose their practices: more/less pair programming, more/less meetings, more/less TDD, etc.
- All the engineers are pretty smart.
- Good coding practices.
Cons: - Diversity is lacking; there are no women in our or the nearest two teams (approximately 15 people).
- There is no salary transparency during interviews. Don't give them your current salary if you want a significant bump.
- On-call duties involve a team rota where you might be woken up at 2 am for incidents.
- The internal tools are old.
- The fast pace, combined with the above, means you might feel like an impostor in the beginning before you learn the tooling.
