Pros: Working at Amazon AWS was a great and challenging experience. It pushed me beyond my boundaries to work as hard as possible. I learned a lot and loved the leadership I witnessed at AWS, great teammates, and managers. I asked my manager if I could take a break for half of the day, as I was burnt out. He said, "Feel free to take the entire week off." My team and managers genuinely appreciate freedom and flexibility. They don't micromanage and are awesome. A very supportive and empathic team.

Cons: Amazon AWS could have its tech stack and technologies more set up and put together to provide a smoother experience for onboarding software engineers. It gets tricky and confusing with so many accounts, tools, apps, etc. It took me a few months to get a handle on how to access certain resources, as there was a big learning curve.

Pros: Great pay. Intelligent team.

Cons: A stressful company, depending on the team.

Pros: 1. Working with smart people 2. Pay is decent

Cons: 1. Hybrid (3 times a week in the office). 2. Toxic culture (coworkers/managers). 3. Horrible on-call workload. 4. Easy burnout and stress. It will affect your mental health. 5. Overworked but barely any salary increase each year and lack of benefits. 6. Senior engineers and above all seem miserable. They make your job hard for no reason, unwilling to help out and ignoring questions and messages because they are “busy.” But they always have so much to say about what someone less experienced does and loves to add more work to everyone’s plate, yet the work never falls on them. But somehow this is normalized and encouraged of seniors? Very toxic.
