Your experience can therefore vary significantly depending on the team and leadership. There is also frequent pressure to meet aggressive or unrealistic deadlines, which can create unnecessary stress and affect work-life balance. Promotions can sometimes feel overly political. Doing good work is not always enough on its own—you often need strong visibility, advocacy from leadership, and the right organizational support to move to the next level.
