After the initial application, I received an online assignment. It consisted of LeetCode medium tasks with a time limit, behavioral questions, hypothetical scenarios, and my proposed actions.
I received an email invitation for a call with a recruiter after two months. The recruiter provided a brief introduction to the interview process. It consists of four stages, each an hour long: technical, behavioral, system design, and bar raiser. Behavioral questions may be asked at any stage.
It took a month to schedule the call and interviews. Time slots were booked.
After the interviews, I waited for the results for 15 days. Amazon does not provide any feedback, only the result itself. The status of your hiring on the portal will be updated only after a call with the recruiter; you won't know the result otherwise.
Overall, the process is quite usual for LeetCode tasks, and solving system design problems is necessary. Also, make sure to answer behavioral questions in the STAR format, applying Amazon's leadership principles.
Overall, the whole process took three months. I waited a long time for the interviews and for the result. The interviewers and the recruiter were nice and polite.
