Pros: Exposure to large-scale distributed systems, a strong culture of ownership and innovation, talented peers, and endless opportunities to learn and grow in both technical and leadership skills.
Cons: Workload can be intense at times, with long hours during critical launches. Navigating internal processes and approvals can occasionally slow down experimentation.

Pros: - Endless opportunity within the organization and internal transfers are part of the culture.
- Flexible; if you are meeting deadlines and providing impact, you have a lot of control over your time.
Cons: - Long work hours. As an SDE L4, working 60+ hours a week to deliver was not uncommon. This is very org dependent.
- Very little mentorship. Amazon is frugal, and it shows in their hiring practices and team building.
