Some pros: * There are many new developments and projects in my organization; it does not feel stagnant. * I get to use the latest technologies and best practices. * I get a lot of support for career development when I ask for it. * Intelligent and motivated coworkers, inclusive environment. Neither pro nor con: * A big emphasis on writing.

Cons: You have to be proactive and sometimes persistent in getting the help you need from more senior engineers.
