Pros: Rapid development, ability to learn a lot and develop quickly in a short period of time if you put in the work and seize the opportunities.
Cons: Typical elements of a toxic workplace. Not everywhere, but it’s prevalent.
Politics, finger-pointing, and empire-building rather than top-to-bottom genuine team collaboration. That said, those characteristics have been present in every medium/large-sized tech company I’ve been at in the last 15+ years, which have aggressive/ambitious goals for innovation and are NPD-focused environments. It’s a bit amplified at AMZ, but not by much.
