- Good base salary (still a bit lower than many other big tech companies).
- Improving benefit offers.
- Great way to learn AWS Cloud stack.
- Work with modern tech stack (but neither best or latest stack).
- They do hire many smart engineers.
- Micromanagement.
- Understaffed in many teams, meaning people are always overworked.
- Too much office politics.
- Sixty percent of time is wasted in meetings without conclusion.
- Way too much writing (why is almost everyone in Amazon so against bulleted points?).
- Many of my peers are surprised when I use more diagrams than words in my design docs.
- Worst work-life balance.
- Please be mentors and do not micromanage.
- Engineers are human, not coding monkeys.
