Management does not seem to care about how much pain and craziness the individual contributors are going through.

Deadlines almost never change.

I have not come across one single Amazonian who is not overworked or has not complained.

You are expected to check and respond to your emails, even on weekends and long weekends.

Please give importance to work-life balance.

Introduce processes that work, and don't just talk about them.

Understand that there are a few things individual contributors will not be able to change without higher management help. So, please do not say, "You take care of it, I will back you up." It does not carry as much weight when we say it, and it gets lost, leading to a lot of frustration and eventual attrition.
