Pros

Nothing to write home about.

Slow work.

Lots of freedom during the shift.

No in-path rate expectations.

Unexpected opportunities hidden in the Wiki.

Cons

Advancement is for PAs exclusively. ICQA doesn't get promotions; you have to be an AM first.

L4 sucks and is a demotion. L5 is okay if you have a degree. L6 is where non-degree holders start to recoup the difference in salary.

Don't hold your breath on promoting at Amazon unless you find a brand-new building to grow with or a new section of Amazon.

Also, you'll probably get COVID. They cared about it for 3 months, then backed off when they knew they could get away with skirting the rules.

Masks are still required, but not much else. No cleaning, no on-site testing. We get COVID on-site notifications every single day.

Advice to Management

Honestly, management is good. I get that they need to maximize production at all costs, but sometimes it's just frustrating.

Focus on Quality gets thrown out if you need numbers.

Change is too slow to implement.
