Not as bad as people say
If you are lucky and land on a good team, it's not so bad. WLB is entirely team dependent, so it can be hell or it can be manageable. Most of the people I've worked with are super smart and always eager to help out.
So, I have to come into the office five days a week. I sit at my desk and take Zoom calls with people in Seattle.
