- Very little to no influence from the open source community.
- Very difficult for an AWS engineer to work on public projects.
- Empire building: Useless products are developed, feature deadlines without real added value, constant changes of mind.
- Product extremely inflexible.
- Use of outdated internal tools, workaround after workaround. It's very difficult to make progress on one's own work, even though the task is trivial.
