Pros

You get to learn a lot. Your code goes into production very soon and often, and you feel you are accomplishing something.

There are a lot of smart people around you.

Cons

Employees are treated very badly by their managers.

There will be no guidance from anyone, even if you are very new to the industry. All they need is you pushing code.

There won't be any ramp-up time. As soon as you join, you are assigned tasks and expected to finish them.

They recruit many new grads because they know they will spend more time in the office, as they do not have many responsibilities.

It is the worst place for people who need personal time. Women, don't even think of having kids if you are at Amazon, else your kids will starve to death.
