How much are you willing to do for money?
- On some teams, good scope of ownership and growth.
- Bad culture (Manager essentially bullied me into leaving on my last team.)
- Little respect for WLB.
- No reward for on-call shifts that can page you at 2 AM to fix issues.
- Often cannot schedule vacation when you want (i.e., Christmas) even if you plan it far in advance, because you may be scheduled on-call. Happy Holidays!
Most of management is terrible and so far indoctrinated into bad practices and habits that I'm not sure how to even begin fixing it. This is not Bezos' Amazon anymore.
