A wonderful place to learn how to develop in the cloud
The Amazon cloud SW development tooling is excellent, supports multiple programming languages, and it's used by almost all teams developing cloud services at Amazon. That means really low friction to creating the core code (the stuff that adds value), minimal time with ops, and a high emphasis on operational excellence.
It's hard to build a bond with my team, but that is probably mostly due to remote development instead of in-person.
My best friends have come from my job at my previous employer.
It would be nice if I felt that the same opportunity to bond and develop relationships with my teammates at Amazon was there.
