Amazon still totally feels like a startup. There's way too much work, way too few people, and endless opportunities to improve things and make a difference. Fortunately, the management is good at understanding that they need to balance projects as well as people, so you're never going to be forced into overtime you don't want to do.
Working here is a total blast. The pay is good, and the people are awesome.
The chaos can be a bit confusing if you don't enjoy working in that type of environment. It's a very fast-paced place, and you have to understand how to balance competing demands for your time and make judgment calls for yourself on what your time is best spent on.
